We were on holiday near Passau and spent two days in the Berchtesgadener Land. And that’s where we stayed at this wonderful hotel. Very friendly, very pet-friendly (we even received a welcome gift for our dog).
We think the hotel is a real highlight. Highly recommended.

Dear Stoll family, dear Alpina team, we felt exceptionally at home with you. We had a wonderful stay in the ‘Mountaineer’s Room’, which was just right for us; we enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor pools set in beautiful parkland and gardens, relaxed in the sauna and enjoyed a hearty breakfast. The buffet left nothing to be desired. Even the dog was spoilt – and all this offered excellent value for money. The décor in all three buildings is very tasteful and luxurious. You can tell that the family put their heart and soul into planning and creating the interiors. The original Colani bathroom may be a bit dated, but it’s a real hit! Everything is kept in excellent condition!

An old house set in a lovely garden. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good. The hotel could really make so much more of itself! The décor is dated. Some parts have been renovated, but unfortunately only half-heartedly. Sadly, there’s a lack of attention to the little details that make a stay special. It lacks charm. Scrambled eggs were cold; sauna towels were hard to find in the spa area; we couldn’t find any bathrobes at all; sun loungers in the garden had no cushions; the panoramic windows in the swimming pool were dirty; worn-out carpets; waste paper and wooden crates in the lounge, ugly lamps, different flooring everywhere… none of it’s a big deal, but unfortunately there’s just no eye for creating a lovely atmosphere here.

A historic and very cosy hotel in a stunning location with views of the Watzmann. The staff are very friendly and helpful. An ideal place for hiking and relaxing.

As part of a club outing, we stayed at the hotel – from single rooms to family rooms, we had everything – and everyone was delighted. Both myself and my club members can highly recommend the hotel; we’ll definitely be back. Thank you very much for everything – we had four brilliant days with you. Best wishes from Saulgrub on behalf of the club, Sascha
